Baloise, one of the largest insurance companies in Belgium, wanted to give employees the freedom to develop an entrepreneurial spirit as well as train them to use innovative methods and tools. Baloise wanted a process and tools that brought innovation from ideas all the way to market launch. At the same time, they wanted to build an innovation strategy, spanning across all activities at Baloise Insurance.
Our collaboration with Baloise Insurance
Together with Baloise we developed the Reflex Machine process to empower employees to build the future of Baloise. Through its multiple editions, the process included ideation workshops, concept development days, marketplaces, and maturation workshops before the grand jury pitches. We then worked with selected ideas to validate assumptions and experiment with customers, towards full market launch. Through a series of workshops, we also worked with the board of Baloise Insurance to set an innovation strategy and measure innovation throughout the organization.
We trained more than 250 Baloise Insurance employees through our two editions of the Reflex Machine. The second edition included both Belgium and Luxembourg divisions of Baloise Insurance. Many ideas were brought back to the Business Units and implemented by Baloise Insurance. Others continued through the process towards validation and customer experimentation. Together with Baloise Insurance we are bringing these innovations to market. Baloise Insurance has set an innovation strategy that will lead them towards a bright future.
