Prof.dr. Bart Larivière

Bart Larivière is a fellow of MTI²’s Academic Creativity Labs. His expertise includes customer satisfaction, customer loyalty and customer engagement in disrupted service encounters, caused by new technologies such as robotics, IoT, and the metaverse.

Bart is Professor of Marketing at the Leuven campus of KU Leuven, and founder and research fellow at the Center for Service Intelligence at Ghent University. He teaches introduction to marketing, digital marketing, and marketing analytics courses. His research focusses on understanding customers in service encounters, and he has won different awards.

Bart obtained his PhD in Marketing Analytics at Ghent University (in 2005), in which he examined the customer behavior of a large European financial service provider. Bart has published his work in service and marketing journals such as Journal of Marketing Research, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Service Research, and Journal of Service Management.
