Prof.dr. Mirjam Knockaert
Mirjam Knockaert is a fellow of MTI²’s Academic Creativity Labs. Her expertise includes entrepreneurship, with a focus on high-tech and innovative entrepreneurship, and particularly the role of human capital (teams, joiners, boards of directors) for innovative new ventures.
Mirjam obtained her PhD in Business Economics in 2005 from Ghent University and is currently an associate professor in Entrepreneurship at Ghent University (Belgium), and a visiting professor at the Technical University of Munich (Germany). Her research was published in internationally leading entrepreneurship journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Venturing and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice. She is a field editor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Journal of Business Venturing.
